It's Been 20 Wonderful Years!

Yes, it will be 20 years since the founding of Blossom Foods. A small vision to bring great tasting, natural food to those with dysphagia (swallowing/chewing impairment) rather than mush. I can tell you that what we set out to do 20 years ago is still our mission today. And yes, the stigma of Pureed food still lingers out there and we're doing everything we can to change that. Blossom Foods set out to change the quality of life to those requiring soft textures, maintaining dignity with dining, and continue to bring joy around eating regardless of texture. We are not here for just bland mashed food. We are commited to fresh ingredients, no added fillers or colors, just food. With an original menu of 14 items in Puree texture, we have expanded to a menu of over 30 items in 3 diet levels. Originally lining up with the National Dysphagia Diet, Blossom Foods meals are designed to meet the International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative (IDDSI) texture levels (Level 4 = Pureed, 5 = Minced & Moist/Ground, and 6 = Soft & Bite-Sized). Our next goals include expanding our reach nationally, and potentially internationally. Dysphagia is a global diagnosis, and everyone deserves a great meal. Yes, we have our fingers crossed that DTC, direct to consumer is on the horizon. We put together a team to get this started, keeping costs where everyone can afford to purchase.
